Dakota Turf, LLC offers power raking/dethatching, overseeding, edging, aerating, and vacation mowing, to enhance the curb appeal to your property.

Power raking/dethatching:  Works best in the spring.

Overseeding:  Is mainly done in the spring and fall.  Our overseeder (Ryan Mataway Overseeder) has a power rake/dethatcher also on it.  For the best results of overseeding, running the dethatcher has proven beneficial.  Our overseeder actually places the seed directly into the ground and makes "corn rows" with the seed.  The preferred method of seeding with the corn rows is to seed one way then go back over at a 45 degree angle on the second pass.  This creates good coverage when the seed comes up.

Hydro-seeding:  We have a smaller hyrdro-seeder that does about 1000-1200 square feet of area.  With each tank we use mulch, about 10 lbs. of premium seed and added fertilizer.

Edging:  Can be done at any time and we offer yearly, monthly or other options to fit your individual needs.  Many clients might think they only want their property edged once a year but find that the grass tends to overtake their sidewalks very quickly.

Aerating:  Allows air and water to penetrate your lawn and alleviating soil compaction.  Fall is the best time to aerate.

Vacation Mowing:  We can mow your lawn when out of town.
